About LoroPay
LoroPay makes it simple to get paid in Zimbabwe. Send a link on WhatsApp or show a QR code; the person paying picks their wallet and pays. You get a verified confirmation, not a screenshot that could be edited.
What you can do
- Payment links for a set amount or a product, shared on WhatsApp.
- Your own LoroPay link and QR code that people can pay any amount into.
- A shop page where customers browse your products and pay.
- Group collections for funerals, parties and group buys: one link, everyone chips in, and everyone can see the total.
- Transport fares for kombi and taxi operators, with tickets conductors can scan.
Your money goes straight to you
LoroPay never holds your money. Every payment goes directly to the person or business being paid: into their Paynow merchant account, their EcoCash merchant code, or their own EcoCash, OneMoney, O'mari or InnBucks wallet. LoroPay sends the payment request and records the confirmation; it does not keep balances or move money on anyone's behalf.
How payments are confirmed
- Paynow and EcoCash payments are confirmed by Paynow or EcoCash directly. We check the amount matches before showing a payment as paid.
- Payments to someone's own wallet are confirmed by the wallet's SMS on the receiver's phone, or by the receiver marking the money as received. These show as "Verified by" the receiver, so you always know who confirmed them.
Wallets we work with
EcoCash, OneMoney, InnBucks, O'mari, ZimSwitch and Visa or Mastercard cards (through Paynow), in US dollars and ZiG.
Who we are
LoroPay is built in Zimbabwe by Swaply FinTech. "Loro" is a parrot: it repeats back exactly what happened, so everyone has the same, trustworthy record.
