Terms & conditions
Last updated 3 November 2026
These terms apply when you use LoroPay, whether you receive money with an account or pay through a LoroPay link, QR code or shop. By using LoroPay you agree to them.
1. What LoroPay is
LoroPay is operated by Swaply FinTech in Zimbabwe. It lets account holders create payment links, QR codes, shop pages and group collections, and records when payments are confirmed.
LoroPay is not a bank and does not hold money. Payments go directly from the payer to the receiver's Paynow account, EcoCash merchant code or own wallet. The payment itself is provided by Paynow, EcoCash or the wallet provider, under their own terms.
2. Accounts
- You must give accurate details, including your name or business name and the wallets you receive money into.
- You are responsible for everything done with your account. Keep access to your email safe, because it is how you sign in.
- Add only wallets, Paynow accounts and merchant codes that belong to you or that you are authorised to use.
3. If you receive money
- You are responsible for what you sell or collect for, for delivering it, and for handling refunds, cancellations and complaints with your customers.
- When you mark a payment to your own wallet as received, you confirm that the money really arrived. Payers rely on this confirmation.
- You must follow the law, including tax and consumer protection rules that apply to you.
4. Group collections
- The organiser receives contributions directly into their own wallets and is responsible for using the money for the stated purpose.
- Organisers must describe each collection honestly, and record only cash they have actually received.
- LoroPay shows contributions and totals but does not hold, check or guarantee how collected money is used.
5. If you pay
- Check the receiver's name, the amount and, for wallet payments, the name shown on your phone before you enter your PIN.
- A payment is complete once LoroPay shows it as paid and verified. Do not rely on screenshots.
- Your wallet provider or network may charge fees. Payments are generally final; for a refund, contact the person or business you paid.
6. Not allowed
You may not use LoroPay for anything illegal, for fraud or scams, to sell prohibited goods or services, to impersonate anyone, to collect money under false pretences, or to send payment requests to people who did not ask for them. You may not interfere with or try to break LoroPay's security.
7. Fees
Paynow, EcoCash and wallet providers charge their own fees under their own terms. If LoroPay introduces its own fees, we will show them clearly before they apply.
8. Suspending accounts
We may suspend or close an account, or disable a link or collection, if we reasonably believe it breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or if the law requires it. You can stop using LoroPay at any time.
9. Our responsibility
We work to keep LoroPay available and accurate, but we provide it "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses caused by payment providers, networks, wallets, the goods or services sold, how collected money is used, or events outside our control. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under the law that cannot be excluded.
10. Privacy
Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information.
11. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do; important changes will be shared with account holders. These terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe.
